Suijin Li
Industrial/ Jewelry Designer


Suijin was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela . In 1991 she obtained a degree in Industrial Design from the Caracas Institute of Design. The following year, she traveled to the United States and complete an apprenticeship in jewelry design with internationally renowned designer Mary Ann Scherr, who pioneered the use of exotic metals in adornment.
   

Suijin remained in the United States until 1997 to continue her work with Mary Ann. This allowed her to master Scherr's techniques using stained glass and metals. Suijin studied at both North Carolina State University and the Penland School of Crafts under the supervision of talented artists such as Heiki Seppa, Marcia Lewis and Tim McCreight. 

Her exclusive designs are characterized by symmetry, architectural forms and modern simplicity and are crafted in 14K and 18K Gold, Sterling Silver, Precious and Semi-precious Stones as well as Swarovski Crystals.
